Description
Brig Mecham's background is primarily in computational biology. After graduation from Washington University in St. Louis, he went to pursue his interest in Bioinformatics at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. After three years working in the Bioinfomatics Core for the Pulmonary Division, he moved to Seattle to attend the Genome Sciences graduate program at the University of Washington. His research focuses on meta-analysis of high throughput genomics data and clinical information, with the long term goal of applying these methods and algorithms to the study of human diseases. His other interests include microarray analysis, transcriptional network prediction and statistical genetics.
